Ehp2 installation

Hello,

I´m reading for to prepare an EHP2 installation for SCM 7.0.

I´ve downloaded the diferent guides but I´ve the next doubt about the Ehp2 installation process.

Upgrade & Update Guide SAP Enhancement Package 2 for SAP Supply Chain Management  7.0, In this guide It doesn´t explain when It´s necessary or when sum phases must be excuted.

Please refer to below note. I believe SUM 1.0 SP06 is the latest available at the SAP Marketplace.

The Software Update Manager is available on the SAP Service Marketplace at http://service.sap.com/sltoolset -> Software Logistics Toolset 1.0 -> table with the Software Logistics tools -> Software Update Manager <version> -> Download Link.

The scope is an update of a SCM 7.0 system and the last EHP avalaible is EHP2.

Hi Ruben,

As you plan for an upgrade to SCM 7.0 EHP2 you need to have the upgrade guides ( which you already download). Apart from upgrade guide you need to download notes pertaining to upgrade.

Additionally refer following notes as a preparatory steps.

1341981

Add. info. on upgrading to SAP SCM 7.0 including EHP1 ABAP

Note 1585806 - Enhancement package 2 for SAP SCM 7.0: Required SWC

Note 1430481 - Prerequisites for upgrading to SCM 7.01 (SCM 7.0 EHP1)

Thats cool then....

I also like the way you mentioned it as an update and not an upgrade.

I dont know if SAP still allows you to do an EHP2 using saint from EHP1.

Hi Jacob,

As per my knowledge we can not upgrade SCM 7.0 EHP1 to EHP2 with saint.

We need to go with SUM.

please correct me if am wrong.

Spot on....Yes you are absolutely correct...I am just wondering if saint picks up the packages..

i guess spam and saint was once invented to perform the same and now fading away.

Now SUM is a replacement for everything one tool for all your update and upgrade EHPI needs. I read somewhere even SUM can be a replacement for even SOLMANUP...

Hi Jacob,

Yes SUM is replacing SOLMANUP also.

SAP is recommended to use SUM tool for all upgrades.

SAP SW Prov. Manager for installations and system copy

Hello Ruben,

As Deepak mentioned please check the master and installation guides.

Also starance since you are looking for EHP2 any particular reason ,is there any reason you are not trying to updat eto EHP3.

Hi Ruben,

As you are performing fresh installation of SCM 7.0 EHP2, you need to refer installation guide for the same. What you have mentioned is an upgrade guide which is not relevant.
