Hi experts,

I am having some issues to find out what is the impact of the ‘Enforcement WI’ flag that is set up in the following configuration point

Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable->Business Transactions->Dunning->Worklists and Workitems->Define Work Item Categories

on work item processing in Collections management for FICA?

Can you help me clarifying that?

Thanks!

Mario.

Hi Mario,

This configuartion node is only valid if you are using the Collection Strategy (BRF) functionality for determining the dunning treatment path of the overdue items.

In this new functionality, the dunning run can include work items in an automatically created worklist, or you can include them in a manually created worklist using the transaction FPWLM in the SAP menu under Periodic Processing -> For Contract Accounts -> Dunning -> By Collection Strategy -> Manage Worklists

The processing deadline of a work item is calculated when a worklist is created. First the end of processing is calculated on the basis of the time of creation of a work item. The latest end of processing of all work items of a worklist defines the processing deadline of all work items in this worklist.

You can assign the work items to the dunning activities and these work items gets triggerred when the particular dunning activity is triggerred during the dunning run.

Hope it helps....

Thanks,

Amlan

Hi Amlan,

I am familiar with this solution, however I dont know what is the impact of the setting: ‘Enforcement WI’

Do you have any idea on what this flag is suppose to do?

Thanks again!

Hi Mario,

If the indicator is set, work items of this category have a fixed assignment to an item list.

These work items are not closed in the next dunning run.

If this indicator is not set, work items of this category are closed in the next dunning activities run.

Hope it helps...

Thanks,

Amlan

Thanks Amlan,

One clarification:

What is the difference with the Mandatory flag 'XMAND'?

Isnt this flag also to prevent the closure of the workitem during the dunning run?

Hi Mario,

If you set the Mandatory flag, XMAND, work items of the corresponding category should be closed before the next dunning run otherwise the master data group is excluded from further dunning.

Hope it clarifies.

Thanks,

Amlan
