Is it posible to keep same SU with 313 and 315 between 2 WHs

Dear All,

I s there a possibility that we can keep the same SUs when transferring from one WH to another WH (same company, same plant) using movements 313 and 315.

OR

even if SU gets changed how we can link source and destination SUs and keep the SU level stock the unchanged when doing 315 as it recalculates currently.

Thanks

Hi Ahmed,

It is not possible to maintain the same SU when transferring from one WH to another WH as it involves the use of interim storage types that is when you issue the stock from a WH, it will be first placed in the interim storage type  and then moved to the destination after TO confirmation. But as soon as the stock is moved to interim storage type, the SU is lost because interim storage types cannot managed for SU's, this is a standard SAP functionality.

This is better explaained by Jurgen in the below thread, please check it

Thanks Vijay,

Is it any way possible to develop a user exit which can take the SU wise quantities from TO of WH1 and then just use the same SU quantities for WH2 TO even with new SU numbers.

For example:

I have transferred 3 SUs of same material of same type E1 with different quantities:

WH1 SUs

First SU  - 5 ea

Second SU - 3 ea

Third SU - 7 ea

Standard quantity for E1 of this material is 10 ea, so when we will receive at WH2 by standard it will create only 2 SUs as

First SU - 10 ea

Second SU - 7 ea

please suggest how we can copy the same SU quantities of WH1 to WH2 , not having 1 rest SU but all three as rest SUs.

This is required as in WH2 we donot repack/rearrange SUs coming from WH1 at all.

Thanks

Hi Zeeshan,

Yes that can be achieved. You need to remove the default palletization data maintained in the material master in WM2 view. This needs to be done for the material in the receiving warehouse.

Once movement 313 is complete, the stock would lie in 921 - UML zone. Then, once you execute 315 and create TO for the material document for 315, maintain the required palletization data.

If there are 3 SU's coming from WH1, then in the palletization details of the TO enter the 3 SU's with the appropriate quantity and confirm the TO.

If you don't want to remove the palletization details in material master, then also this is possible. During TO creation, the palletization is defaulted, which can anyways be changed. So, you just need to modify that and rest is taken care of.
