The SMD Agent 'SOLMAN' hasn't been found!

Dear,

I am getting issue during Diagnostic Setup --> Managed System --> Setup Wizard

while the SMD in Agent Administration.

Introscope Enterprise Manager is also started.

how can I resolve the issue (The SMD Agent 'SOLMAN' hasn't been found!)?

please quide me.

Hi,

Please maintain the IP Address and the hostname in your SAP system hostfile and check again.

It seems that solution manager is not able to connect to the Agent.

Please check and provide your feedback.

hi Maria,

I put the LAN and WAN IPs against fully qualified domain name in etc/host file while hostname is solman..

like

172.20.0.x     solman.xyz.com

192.168.10.x     solman.xyz.com (NATing is enable)

but still facing the same issue. please tell me which things i have to check?

Try to add short name solman also to /etc/hosts file.

I changed the name from solman.xyz.com to solman in host file

172.20.0.x      solman

192.168.0.x      solman

but still getting same error as you know that I changed the value of hostname , may i face FQDN issue or not ?

please also check the selection in below screen.

I think you have problems with your hosts file. In general it is not allowed to have the same name for multiple ip addresses. When you system wants to know the ip address of solman it will get a single ip address in reply. Try to delete one entry (for test only) and check configuration.

Right now, I removed the public IP from host file and only below entry is exist.

172.20.0.x      solman

but same issue.
