ERP on MaxDB and hostname change

There was a need to move one virtual server running ERP on MaxDB to another vserver and change a hostname.

After move was done and hostname changed I have trouble starting ERP, sapstart always stops at maxdb start part.

After further investigation I realized I need to change entries in xuser file, which I did. However, again, MaxDB won't start, startdb.log message is:

Starting database

Starting Database Instance...

OK

Opening Database...

ERR

-24988,ERR_SQL: SQL error

-4001,Unknown user name/password combination in operational state ADMIN

I am MaxDB newbie, before I worked only with Oracle, so I do not even know where are MaxDB keeps relevant logs.

Any idea what else needs to be done when hostname is changed or what to do to resolve this isse?

Hello

It looks like an issue with the user CONTROL or SUPERDBA

I suggest you to check the MaxDB trace files and identify the correct user.

Also try to connect to the DB using DBMCLI or from the MaxDB Studio Manager.
