Attached is screen shot that I get when trying to use single sign on with gui 7.3 on a windows 7 machine. I have been told the same error shows when trying to use it on a windows 8 computer. Has anyone seen this before?

Hi Justin

Yes, the error message is well known, since the SAP GUI cannot find the file.

Check the following:

  1. That the sncgss32.dll or gssntlm.dll file (depending on the version) is in a directory easy to locate.
  2. Check that the Windows environment variable (system) SNC_LIB is created and contains the directory path to the file above.

3. Close and reopen the SAP Login Pad

Hi Justin,

Please, copy an extract of any of the dev_w* trace files which shows more info about this error. I think this is a 3 party issue (eg Active Directory, Kerberos),

From past expereince the error can occur where the user name is wrong eg it is case sensitive for example or the user needs to be a service principal user in the AD domain for example.

Hi Justin,

If these are 64-bit machines, make sue you put a copy of sncgss32.dll in c:\windows\sysWOW64.  If these are 32-bit, then ensure a copy of sncgss32.dll in the system32 directory.

Hope this helps.

Cheers
