Printing barcode with SAPScript

Hi,

I have to modify a SAPScript to include a barcode. I created a new character format on SE71 and tried with several codebar formats without success. I tested some codebars at SE73 successfully, while the same codebar format does not work for the SAPScript.

I tested to print another codebar, but this time is a Smartform and it prints ok. I know there is a traditional codebar printing system (you need a special hardware on the printer) and the new one which only works with Smartforms. The printer I am using is a common HP Laserjet so I don't think it has the required software

Can it be this the problem? Should I use Smartforms in a compulsory way?

To use the New Bar code technology bar codes with SAPscript, you must implement SAP note 1558595.

Hi,

You can print the BArcode using Script as well. Did you try taking actual print on the Actual printer.

I have experienced that BARCODE will not be visible in Print Preview, but it will print correctly while taking the actual print.
