Hi experts,

I am working on a client, and he has asked me if there is any possibility to use SAP PI to send/receive message from What's up. I guess that the answer is NO, but I want to check with the experts if there is such possibility.

Also I want to ask if there is the chance to use it for connecting to Twitter, Facebook, Google+,......

I already know that there is a plug-in for iOS, (the name is SAP Gateway for iOS or something similar), but this gateway only allow collect/send data to an SAP System.

Many thanks for your help.

Regards.

SAP PI is not a right one to integrate WhatsUp, but if still wanna use PI then use web service calls. It works.

Probably REST will be handy in this scenario, though transactional data limitations may be a decision factor.

Since REST is based on standard HTTP/HTTPS, it can be used to integrate web-based applications such as Whats'up.

Refer William Li's blog on REST..

Also look at this interesting document from integration perspective..

Gateway or PI..

Keep updated with progress at your end. Hope it helps.!
