System Export

Dear Experts,

Plz find the below image while exporting Source system, I am getting " Confirm the Execution of Report".

Let me know what is the difference when we give Yes/No??

Hi Anvardheen,

Before you proceed go to SE38 and execute SMIGR_CREATE_DLL report. Once this report is completed then you say yes and proceed.

This report will generate STR files for ODS and FACT data tables which will be required for import into target system.

Note: This step is required only in BI systems. In case your system is ECC you may select NO and proceed.

In case of db migration for specific db, you have to select Yes

Hello Anvardheen.

If you have generated this report SMIGR_CREATE_DDL in se38 as a part of prerequisite

then you have to go with yes .It will generate sql files stored at desired location.(normally export directory). You can give that path here in the above screen shot.If no is selected no path to enter will be shown .

***SMIGR_CREATE_DDL will generates <TABART>.sql files containing DDL statements for non-standard ABAP database objects (mainly BW objects)

Did you run the report?  Yes/No?

SMIGR_CREATE_DDL is a report that runs on the source system, basicaly generate DLL statements for non-standard databse objects.

You can read about this on the system copy guide.
