Hi Experts,
We had an issue today with a number of programs where an old version was activated. We also have an automated trasport process to QA environment which imported a few transport requests from a few years ago touching the same old objects that were activated. These transports were previously imported to QA system. This is a major issue since it caused failure of a nuber of process and timeline of projects/change requests that were in progress. We need to understand how this is even possible. Please advise what information you require to help us understand this scenario.
Thanks,
Sunny
Hi Sunny,
By now you might have realized it and deactivate the software component which was activated by mistake. In case if you haven't go SE03 --> Under Administration --> Double click System Change Option --> Select the object to non-modifiable.
Stop your automated transport import in QAS environment ASAP.
Delete transports which has generated from DEV
The damage which has done in QAS environment can be undone by restore point in time. Will close the door for panic.
Hope this help.

Ask your abapers to review version management in your development system and retransport the correct versions.

I have no idea, but my best guess is that someone released old created transports in your DEV system perhaps.
