Characteristic Results Cannot Be Recorded for Inspection Lot

Dear Gurus,

Am new to SAP QM module.

Inspection lot is created while doing the GR from production.  And its status is already REL.  Now I want to do the Result Recording.  When i goto through QA32 for the result recording, system throwing error that:-

Characteristic Results Cannot Be Recorded for Inspection Lot

I have done all the setting which i have already known:-

1.  MIC created & assign Inspection Plan

2.  Lot having REL status now

3.  Done the Char Check in Material Master QM view

Then also system showing the same error.  Can any one suggest me for the resolving this issue.

Hi all,

Thanks for all your support.. Hope i send this query long back ago...  And it was resolved by creating the the Inspection plan befor the Inspection date.

What excatly the complete status of your inspection lot and wat setti ngs you have maintained in Qm view in MM secondly, check your MIC indicators.

Please attach the screenshots of the inspection lot along with its relevant master data.It is very tough to assume and suggest.

Am doing final inspection.  And I hv done the tick mark initially itself. i.e., before the GR itself.  After that only I am facing the above said issue.

Can you plz clear me once??

Aravind,

Don't open too many threads (2 threads in this case) for same query. Close either of them. Because of too many threads, solution may get scattered.

ru doing RR for in process inspection / Final inspection???

Please check in customizing for inspection types of 03,04.

& check in MM for check tick marks for task list / Specification & any tick on Sample Management options.
