how to refresh the IDoc type for a message type?

I used to define a extension ZMATMAS for message type MATMAS with basic type MATMAS05, but later I found that this extension is not needed any more, thus I deleted this entry in we82.

But after that, the IDoc I send use BD10 has the status 26 problem, I found that the message that is sent still has the extension ZMATMAS.

So, did I miss certain steps to refresh the message type zmatmas?

try reselcting the message type in partner profile

whenever u change an enry for extensiona and link to message type in we82 refresh in we20 by reselecting the message type.

Hi, Prabhu.

Can you tell me how to "reselect" the message type?

After I click the "change" button in we20, only the infomation in up-half screen can be edit, and the message type in outbound parmtrs remains grey and uneditable.

Actually I've tried to delete the distribution model and created a new one, thus the partner profile has been regenerated, but it still doesn't work.

Yining,

In Outbound parameters, delete the Msg type name and use F4 help to reselect it again.

Hi,

Go to transaction "IDX2" and delete the IDoc metadata and then try running your interface.

In IR, reimport the IDOC again, under the tab Imported Objects.

As abhy said, go to the transaction IDX2 , In which you have loaded the Idoc structure (i.e ZMATMAS in you case)...in metadata repository ..

Delete the structure and try to execute scenario...

don't search for the Idoc type in XI ..

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear.

What I'm doing is a pure R3 to R3 integration using ALE, no XI involved yet.

The problem happens in the outbound R3 when check the syntax of the IDoc.

HI,

Error during syntax check of IDoc (outbound)

Customer written program: Check your program logic and compare it with IDoc structure. Refer to IDoc syntax rules.

SAP program enhanced using User Exits: Check partner profile using correct message type & IDoc type. Next check your user exit logic and restart from the application.

If you are using standard Idoc then need not to check for Syntax Check..

There's only one node under "loaded meta data" node, and there's only one entry under IDoc Types node: "ORDERS01". I don't think it is material IDoc, is it?

Yining,

IDX2 is the transaction for holding the meta data for IDOC types in XI. I am not sure if that is the same in case of direct R/3 - R/3 using ALE. Those replies were given on the assumption, you were using XI as the integration platform.

Hi Mao,

Its ok, you are not able to see you ZMATMAS Idoc in the IDOC TYPE ..IF i'm right.

Exclusively in R/3 , I'm not talking about XI...

First you have to follow the Steps to create customizes IDOC...

1. Define message types & Idoc Tpye using we30

2. Define Segments using we31

3 assign message type to Idoc type...we82..

In each and every step you have save and activate ..check whether it is active or not.....if it is not in active , you will not able to see your customized Idoc in you Idoc type list..
