Hi Mark

I have used the following resources to get familiar with SAP MII.

The link to the SAP Help Portal for SAP MII :

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_mii121/helpdata/en/44/ea42f5ee4115bbe10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm

The book that was also useful :

Implementing and Configuring SAP MII - by - Dipankar Saha and Abesh Bhattacharjee

The course that is available :

Course code - SCM380 - SAP MII - Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence Fundamental

Hope this helps.

Hi Mark,

The first point is to be familiar with Netweaver security concept (UME) and UME sourcing of users, either local, ldap, ABAP etc. and then authentication of users because your users can come from a portal, use Kerberos etc. I'll assume you are familiar with that.

The next thing would be to familiarise yourself with MII security concepts, there, you have 2 MII Secuirity Guide:

for 12.2:

http://service.sap.com/~form/sapnet?_SCENARIO=01100035870000000202&_SHORTKEY=01100035870000728927&_O...&

for 14.0:

https://service.sap.com/~sapidb/011000358700001255212012E

This should give you a good overview and understanding of Security within MII,

Cheers,

Arnaud

Hi Mark

There are couple of focuses you might want to have knowlege; Netweaver Adminstrative itself (big topic), SAP MII Administration and SAP MII Development.

I believe your SAP Contact should be able to provide you more information on Trainings. For MII books, there are 2-3 books available (just search in amazon).

good luck.
