Pack and Trace Functionality in sap sd

HI Experts,
We have a requirement to implement the Pack and Trace Functionality for the forwarder?

Could any one pl. help me what is meant by Pack and Trace Functionality and how it should be implemented.

Hi Sara,

You can extend pack and trace functionality to a forwarder by setting up Express Delivery Company in the XSI Cockpit ( Transaction code -VTRC), an ABAP transaction code.

packing is available in SAP SD. What do you mean by trace? Can you explain the business process what is the product or material you want to pack and trace? And how you want to trace.

Hi ,

The business scenario is, they are asking to set up a vendor for Pack & Trace functionality. So that This vendor is the one originating the issue with tracking number with missing leading zeros.

With that functionality, end user will be able to display correctly the tracking info (with leading zeros).
