Hi Experts,
After releasing the request from Development system , they are not coming in the import queue of
Quality system.
We manually add the request in cofile and data file of Quality system
and try to manually import but it gives error as:
"Transport control program tp ended with error
Errors: addtobuffer has problems with data- and/or cofile"
Both the system are in same transport group but not have same transport directory.
When I check in AL11 for DEV - DIR_TRANS=\\<dev host name>\sapmnt\trans
but when check AL11 in QAS - DIR_TRANS=\\<qa host name>\sapmnt\trans
please suggest your advice
Thanks,
Yogesh
Hi Yogesh,
Check your TRANSDIR parameter under STMS > System Overview > Double Click your QAS system > Transport Tool. The value should be the same with DEV.

I guess,
You are trying to transport between 2 different transport group.
If dev and QA system are part of same transport group then check the transport route.
A consolidation route must linking them. Also you can see it in the system overview.
Best you can do is reconfigure the transport route. It can only be done from the Domain Controller (DC). Once its reconfigured. You need to do following checks
1. Check transport RFC in QA system it must mention the DC name of Dev system.
2. 3 Basic Transport system health checks from STMS.
Thanks

Hi Yogesh,
Regarding your issue, please find the required information specified below.
Systems belonging to the same "Transport Group" should use and share
the same Transport directory. It is a must. Also, it is mandatory to
have DIR_TRANS (In SAP profile) pointing to the same TRANSDIR (in TMS
configuration).
Please refer to note:
556734 FAQ Transport: Setup and further information
The "normal" and standard SAP STMS configuration is to share the same
Central transport directory across all the system landscape.
And also please check if the DIR_TRANS parameter is properly set in the system configuration.
Thank You.

Deepika

Hi Deepika,
As in first DIR_TRANS directory are different in Dev and Qas. I added the parameter DIR_TRANS in instance profile of Qas system same as Dev.
But when I try to open DIR_TRANS in AL11 , it gives me error :
Wrong order of calls <- CALL opendir(,,..)
Message no. S1204
I already give permission on windows server but facing same issue
Please let me know what can I do for the same.
Thanks,
Yogesh
Hi Yogesh,
Regarding your issue, please refer the notes specified below.
Please check location, sharing and permission of *\trans.
Check permission of user <SID>ADM and SAPService<SID>. Please refer to
attached note 117395.
117395 - Authorization problems for file I/O on Windows NT
Kindly also check the path mentioned in the parameter SAPEVTPATH.
Iit should be as follows:
\\<SAPGLOBALHOST>\sapmnt\$(system)\SYS\exe\run\sapevt.exe
Basically pointing to exe\run not the profile.
Set the parameter TRANSDIR and DIR_TRANS for Windows NT
Please refer to attached note number
97993 Central NT/UNIX transport directory;
Thank You.
Regards,
Deepika
Hi Deepika,
I have added both the user <SID ADM> and SAPService<SID> in the Administrator group and give full permission. DIR_TRANS is already set in QAS and when check through AL11, DIR_TRANS have same value in both the Dev & Qas.
And be frank in given note I didn't understand what the note want to say
Please give more details about the parameter SAPEVTPATH,, where i found this or have to set this parameter
Please suggest me
Waiting for your next reply.
Thanks,
Yogesh
Hi Yogesh,
Could you check whether cofiles and datafiles have been created when you release the request.
If yes, then you may need to look for zig-zag icon the application tool bar in transaction code STMS. Clicking on this zigzag icon will copy the relevant transport files to QAS transport directory.
If cofiles and datafiles are not created , then your transport request is local request.

Hi Deepak,
Thanks for your reply..
Cofiles and datafiles are created.
Actually the transport directory in both Dev and Qas are different when check through AL11.
I add the parameter DIR_TRANS in Quality system same as Dev system and it is also changed in AL11 but when I double click on DIR_TRANS in AL11 it gives me error:
Wrong order of calls <- CALL opendir(,,..)
Message no. S1204
May be its a permission issue on windows but I shared trans folder and give permission but still same error.
Please provide your solution
Thanks,
Yogesh
