Posting of cost directly to AUC and not in WBS

Hi,

I have one requirement from my client,that they wanted to post cost directly from PO--->SERVICE ENTRY SHEET ----> ACCEPTENCE OF SERVICES and after that cost should be directly captured in AUC and not in WBS. but cost should be display in WBS also.

Is it possible?If possible then how it can be possible.

I dont think this would be possible. Costs would always get booked on a WBS and then settled to an AUC.

I haven't heard of such a thing happening atleast in the standard IM process.

Thanks for your reply.Here we are Using only Project system and not IM module.

Is it not possible to assign AUC in PO account assignment ?

I guess it would better if you ask this to your MM consultant. He/She would be the best person to help you out.

Hi,

As Gokul pointed rightly t is not possible if you are using account assignment as Q. If you wanted to post cost directly to asset then use account assignment A - Asset. then thoes costs would not be visible in WBS element since costs are directly booked to asset.

PO can have account assignment categories like

Asset - A

Cost center- K

Order - F

Project - P etc.

In Other words, Account assignment category describes how the procured material is being used (for eg: Cost Center, Sales Order, etc). It also determines how the accounting entries made when a Gr document or Ir document is posted
