If we install multiple application servers in a single system is it possible to run all the application servers at a time?how?

• we can install multiple application servers in a single system and we can run all the application servers at same time. i am not clear about your exact requirement.

Actually i am new to sap,so i came to know about we can install multiple application instances in a single system,but how can all these instances can run at a time?

Hi Srikanth.

each instance have its own instance number and USR/sap directory. we can run the multiple instances at same time. If you are putting more than one application servers more resources will be required.

Hi,

Yes you can run multiple application servers on one host -  like a db instance, primary application server, n application servers

You can also run multiple different systems on one host - like ERP, CRM, BI

It all depends on the amount of resources you have available

yes we can install multiple sap systems in single host provided you have sufficient resources.

if it is a production system always better to keep single sap system in single host.
