Environment variable CPIC_MAX_CONV &JAVA_HOME Error in IDES

Hello Expert,

In Prerequisites check for IDES EHP 5 i am getting this error.

1. Environment variable CPIC_MAX_CONV , Condition not met,

Environment variable CPIC_MAX_CONV should be set and the value should be at least 200. Current value: not available or not a number. See also SAP Note 901042. (Updated 2005-12-08)

2.JAVA_HOME,Could not check

It is not recommened to use JDK version 1.4.2_10. Current version: JAVA_HOME not available. See also SAP Note 867110. (Updated 2006-06-12)

I had seen the note for second error and created the Java_Home Environment Variable, Still the Error Exists.

What result i have to apply.

Hi ,

Regrading the environment variable - CPIC_MAX_CONV is related to CPIC/RFC

connections. 

The default value of the environment variable CPIC_MAX_CONV (which is

assumed if the variable is not set) is 100.

Edit either file $home/.profile (for the using user) or /etc/profile

(for all user), and add parameter CPIC_MAX_CONV into this file with

value, and it will be actived next reboot.

Hello,

Can you please tell me if this is a windows enviornment.

If it is a windows enviorment ,

in the enviornment variables you can set it as

CPIC_MAX_CONV=500

After that please try SAPinst agin.

Hi,

• Please set the Environment Variable Java_home.
• As per the note 867110, you should not use the version 1.4.2_10.

• please refer the Note: Note 716604 - Access to Oracle J2SE and recommended J2SE options and download the relevant Java version for your environment and try.
