SAP migration /upgrade from ECC5 to ERP ehp6

Hi,

We are going to upgrade our SAP ECC 5 system to ERP ehp6. and we are going install complete new systems.

Current Status : OS : win 2003 , DB: MS SQL 2005 , ECC 5

to be upgrade : OS : win 2008 , DB MS SQL 2008 , ERP ehp6.

I am planing to do like below.

1	Export from ECC 5 with installation master
2	Install MS SQL 2008 in new WIN 2008 server
3	Import on new system with installation master
4	Upgrade Ehp5 from ECC5

Could you please suggest?

Hi Sivakumar,

Your approach is absolutely perfect. This will reduce downtime for the systems and since you migrated to new hardware with 2008 performance improvement can be expected.
