GATP RBA - Limiting horizon

Hello friends.

Recently i wrote a discussion about Check Horizon in GATP.

Here we need to only confirm sales orders using stock or PlannedOrders or another receipts until 15 days based in sales order date. When SCM finds planned orders in Future, the sales orders are posted to future.

For example, product X:

Planned Order 15000kg at 05.05.2013.

Our resource only has this order, in other words, is empty.

When a sales order was created the date is posted to 05.05.2013.

In this situation we need:

1) First check if between the sales order date plus 15 days there are receipts to confirm the sales order.

2) If we can't confirm using what we have, start to produce now.

I'm thinking to use RBA, let me explain what is my plan:

Create an Acess Sequence:

             10 - Location - Distribution Channel - Product

             20 - Location - Product

In Rules Maintenance:

1) First Rule was a Calculation Profile limited to 15 days(Allowed Delay, Prem. Confirmation, Consumption limit)

    In Location Determination:

       - Start Production = Avaliability Check Only

2) First Rule was a Calculation Profile limited to 120 days(Allowed Delay, Prem. Confirmation, Consumption limit)

    In Location Determination:

       - Start Production = Avaliability Check Only, then Production

Well, after these configuration i tried execute.

An error was raised:

'there's no substitution for item"

Can this scenario works on RBA?

Best Regards

Marcelo

My Solution:

1) Create 2(two) Acess Sequences:

First) Plant -> Distribution channel ->Product

Second) Plant -> Product

2) In "Assign Rule Strategy or Rule Strategy Sequence". Set Handling of CP to "Add"

3) In /SAPAPO/RBA04:

     3.1) Create 2(two) Calculation Profile.

3.1.1) The first profile is set to Allow Delay, Prem. Confirmation and Consumption limit. All to 15 days. IMPORTANT: Set Valid = True

3.1.2) The second profile is set to Allow Delay, Prem. Confirmation and Consumption limit. All to 120 days. IMPORTANT: Set Valid = True

     3.2) Create 2(two) Location Determination:

3.2.1) Determination 1: Avaliability Check only, No production

3.2.2) Determination 2: Avaliability Check only, then Production

    3.3) Create 2(two) Rule Control.

          3.3.1) Rule1: Uses Calc1 and Det1

          3.3.2) Rule2: Uses Calc2 and Det2.

4) in /SAPCND/AO11, create rule determination for your product.

For Acess sequence 1: set Product X to Rule 1

For Acess sequence 2: Set same product X to rule 2.

In Check Instructions(SPRO), Set "Activate RBA", "Start Imed." and "Use Calc Profile

Thanks and best Regards

hi Marcelo,

That's great news, and thanks for sharing.

But you did use location substitution here right, please confirm.

One more thing what is this 120 days are taken for.

Hello Sourabh.

I didn't used the location substitution..

The 120 days are my second horizon(Check, then produce)

Best Regards.

Hi Marcelo,

Can you please explain are you planning to use rule strategy sequence.

Also i couldn't understand this

1) First Rule was a Calculation Profile limited to 15 days(Allowed Delay, Prem. Confirmation, Consumption limit)

    In Location Determination:

       - Start Production = Avaliability Check Only

2) First Rule was a Calculation Profile limited to 120 days(Allowed Delay, Prem. Confirmation, Consumption limit)

    In Location Determination:

       - Start Production = Avaliability Check Only, then Production

How can you have two first rules?

please confirm this.

Also try selecting create remaining requirement at source location product in check instruction.

Hello SouraBH for your reply.

Sorry..  i copy and paste the text

1) First Rule was a Calculation Profile limited to 15 days(Allowed Delay, Prem. Confirmation, Consumption limit)

    In Location Determination:

       - Start Production = Avaliability Check Only

2) Second Rule was a Calculation Profile limited to 120 days(Allowed Delay, Prem. Confirmation, Consumption limit)

    In Location Determination:

       - Start Production = Avaliability Check Only, then Production

"Also try selecting create remaining requirement at source location product in check instruction."

Yes, is set in "Maintain Check Instructions"

Hi Marcelo,

You are trying to call production from location determination, and not maintaining any location substitution, that is precisely the reason why you are getting message here.

I would suggest to follow below sequence;

- Keep first rule as it is

- In check instruction select start immediately

- You must have set CTP or MATP settings for production to be called, so in check instruction you can select appropriate option for CTP/MATP.

please check and let me know if this works.

Hi,

That means you didn't got the error and with normal RBA your scenario can't be mapped.

So questions in this thread is answered, right.

For orders in future issue, i would advice to close this thread and open a new thread.
