Hi

As we are performing oracle upgrade on sandbox system, we restored the backup of a server on sandbox.

Now when we were trying delete RFC's and Backgrnd jobs it is givning dump "ZDATE_LARGE_TIME_DIFF"

again and again.and hence we cannot start the upgrade.

We have check cd /etc/environment and kept TZ as comment and also we tries to change it to IST-5:30 , but still facing same issue.

When we are loggin in , the system is also not working properly and giving this dump again and again.

Wht to do?

Hi Swati,

Please check the below link and see whether it helps.

https://scn.sap.com/thread/800001

I faced the issue few days before. For that I have stopped the DB & SAP and restarted the System completedly and started the DB & SAP again so that SAP & DB will sync with each other.

Note 1016023 - No ZDATE_LARGE_TIME_DIFF runtime error

Thanks and Regards,

Vimal

Hi

We have restored one of the backup of sol man on sandbox for one activity.

We dnt want any connection between these two so we deleted all RFC's.

Now the problem is - whatever dump is coming in Sandbox(the above one) is appearing in solman ST22 dump.

Acc to this dump sandbox is considered as appl server and solman as D/B -

"

Application server... "sapbisbx"

Network address...... "10.5.10.187"

Operating system..... "AIX"

Release.............. "6.1"

Hardware type........ "00083F6AD400"

Character length.... 16 Bits

Pointer length....... 64 Bits

Work process number.. 0

Shortdump setting.... "full"

Database server... "sapsolman"

Database type..... "ORACLE"

Database name..... "GSP"

Database user ID.. "SAPSR3""

We have checked the profiles also but hostname is correctly maitained as of sand box.

Now from where this sol man and sand box as i told earlier we dont want any connections between two. What i can check?

Please help..!

Hi Swati,

Solman is a dual stack system. Java instance has to be exported and imported into target system to avoid such hostname conflicts.

I guess you may need to perform restoration again. Abap stack using backup restore while java stack using export/import method.

Hi Swati,

At the first step, execute "R3trans -xd" at the sandbox system OS level and check for the "trans.log", in order to find out the database connection.

Then, check for the hostname under database configuration files in "/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/profile/oracle" and "/oracle/<DBSID>/<DBREL>/NETWORK/ADMIN"

Then, check for the hostname under SAP profiles files in "/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/profile/"

Hi Swati,

Did you reboot the server after you change the TZ?
