I am new to webdispatcher 7.3, But I read that it is installed as part of java install. I can access the web admin UI, but do not know how to add/change the webdispatcher parameters. There does not seem to be a seperate webdispatcher parameter fie. I can not change in the web admin UI. Has anyone else used this webdispatcher and added/modified parameters ?
Please read Starting the SAP Web Dispatcher with the Bootstrap Option. The bootstrap option is used to start the SAP Web Dispatcher without the profile file. This file is then created automatically. After that read Parameterization of the SAP Web Dispatcher.

Roman,
I have read the help and started the web dispatcher with the sapwebdisp -bootstrap and a profie was create and another web dispacther was started. I could see the process in the list of processes. If I run the web adm UI, where do I see the web dispatcher parameters that were created with the bootstrap option ? Cause if I click on parameters, I do not see those parameters.
Please help if anyone knows. I am sure I am missing something.
Thanks,
Denise
Sorry, I should be clearer. The values for the below parameters are not the same as what I have entered in the profile sapwepdisp.pfl.
icm/req_queue_len
icm/max_threads
I do not see the below parameters
wdisp/HTTP/max_pooled_con = 500
wdisp/HTTPS/max_pooled_con = 500
I ran sapwebdisp -bootstrap in \usr\sap\<SID>\JC00\exe.
Profile was created there and webdispatcher started.
Also user icmadn created, but I am unable to log into the web admin UI with the userid/password created with that command. The display says it was created.
Roman,
I restarted java system and checked the paramerts, the values in sapwebdisp.pfl are not the same as what is dipslayed in the web admin. It doesn't seem to be reading the sapwebdisp.pfl. I did not run the sapwebdisp pf=sapwebdisp.pfl command, as I believe this starts another webdispatcher process. But what do you think ?
Thanks,
Denise
I am running java 7.3. There is only one system on this server \usr\sap\DSX
I run tasklist and there is no sapwebdisp process running, but I am able to connect to the web admin UI.

Roman,
Thanks, the proces is icman.exe.
I was able to display the command line.
d:\usr\sap\DSX\J00\exe\icman.EXE -appTrc pf=\<server>\sapmnt\DSX\SYS\profile\DSX_J00_<server> -nodeId=1 -f D:\usr\sap\DSX\J00\work\\dev_icm
so the profile for this is in \sapmnt\<SID>\SYS\profile and the name of the profile is <SID>_J00_<server>
Thanks so much for your help,
Denise

Maria,
Thanks, I have read the help. Again it tells me the values to put in the parameter file, but not name and location of the web dispatcher profile file. That is what I am looking for and have not had much success finding. I am sure it is pretty simple to update, once you know where it is.
