we are on 4.0 . Do we require separate license for BI Mobile ??

I don't see  MobileBIService.war  in my installation. Any suggestions??

I am surprised today from our OEM vendor, saying that BO Mobile & BO Explorer is not free of cost.

Please confirm. I heard both BO Mobile and BO Explorer are not licensed based.

     The OEM version of the product is sold differently by the OEM vendor.  Only if you have NON-OEM version the two products are free.

The OEM license is completely different from the fully licensed version because they strip each of the components and sell them at a much lower cost.  This completely a vendor preference.

Hi Ruc,

if you have a BI 4.0 SP4, then i am afraid, mobile server is only supported on a windows platform.

you however, do not need a seperate license for the same.

you need to install BI 4.0 on a windows machine, so that the mobile components can be installed.

it will need tomcat to be on a windows server, to deploy MobileBIService.war file

this war file in BI 4.0 SP4 and below, would be available in Business objects install directory/Mobile 14 folder

post BI 4.0 SP5, it will be automatically deployed under tomcat6/webapps
