Configuration settings for progress analysis

Hi,

In Current project scenario we are not Using Progress analysis..only tracking activities on Star date and end date....

I have been old to do basic Configuration settings for Progress anlysis(Earned Value analysis)...

Could anybody tell me the basic steps or what things should i consider for this configuration..?

Hello Karan,

It is good idea to use progress analysis .For progress analysis you can find many standard documentation from sap itself like.

Two important point you need to understand in deep for this are:

  1. Measurement Method
  2. Calculation of various values.

Hi Karan,

Progress analysis is used to determine planned and actual project progress values,

and to compare the two sets of data. The system uses the overall planned costs to evaluate the

work done, meaning that that evaluation is not dependent on the costs planned or posted by

period.
