PP areas of knowledge for APO-DP

Hai,

Just wondering, for working in APO-DP what topics in PP are needed to have knowledge in? SOP, DRP etc.

I know this a kind of vague question but just asking....

my opinion, if it is purely APO - DP that you area talking about, the "Need-To-Have" (R/3) PP knowledge is very minimal.

it is the concepts of SOP , DRP that might be needed not necessarily the SAP R/3 version of it

in a few instances APO DP is stand alone and does not interact with R3.

but other areas that are desirable depending on whether you get to use it in APo would probably be :-

planning of configurable materials - for CBF in APO DP

requirements strategy - for forecast consumption

BOMs - for Forecasting with BOMs

PP/DS and SNP might be areas where more PP knowledge would be beneficial..

again its IMHO
