Hello,

1. As SAP customer you could create the SAP message < BC-DB-LVC > and get SAP support.

2. Following information need to be checked/posted when the LC10 liveCache connection issues occured after you updated the SAP kernel on the system:

-> version of your SCM system & SP stack

-> version of SAP kernel used on the system

    < disp+work, tp -V, version of MAXDB DBSL >

-> version of liveCache client on the APPLICAtion servers

    < "sdbregview -l"  & "dbmcli -s dbm_version" >

For example, if you upgraded the SAP kernel 7.20, pay attention to the SAP note 1487269 .

SAP Note 649814 provides information about where to download the SAP MaxDB client software (Application Runtime Package) from SAP Service Marketplace and how to install this software.

Hi Madhura,

What is your live cache server? Please check in transaction code SM59 if you have a working RFC connection to the live cache server.

Hi Martin,

In SM59 the RFC s :

SAPDB_DBM gives error "Error while opening RFC connection."

SAPDB_DBM_DAEMON is working

Version of Live cache server: 7.7.07.

Pls guide.

Madhura.

Did you try going in to DB59?  From there you can restart the DBMRFC demon and turn on trace if it still is not responding.

Cheers,

Mark

Hi ,

Please go to tcode  db59 and test the connection. If it not working then delete it and create it again.

Please check dbmrfc from SM59 and also from OS level with sidadm.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your support . I reverted the Kernel and Live cache issue was resolved. We needed the

Live cache to work urgently so we changed the Kernel. The Kernel is corrupt mostly.  Pls suggest a solution for the same .This is an intermittent issue. We need permanent solution.Thanks.

Hi Shyam,

The note was not of much help.

RFC connections:

SAPDB_DBM gives error "Error while opening RFC connection."

SAPDB_DBM_DAEMON is working

Madhura.
