Usage of PRT's to operation in Maint. Order

Dear All,

As we know there are four type of PRT's can be assign to the operation like Material, Equipment, Document & Miscelaneous.

I want to can we use Measuring point as PRT for the operation like meauring wear tolerance of Bush by vernier caliper.

PRTs are attached to operations as aiding tool for that operation.

Your requirement is different one.

1. Create Measuring Point for wear & tear of bush
2. You can create Measurement document at the time of notification (if machine user feels to capture wear & tear, he can create measurement document from notification)
3. If maintenance person requires to create measurement document, he can create in Actual time confirmation business transaction for the operations.

As Mahesh mentioned  above I would like to add furthre

we can do that in PRT tab data in equipment master assign maintainance plan with measuring point which is created during the noification moreover it depends on the formula you have taken in control keys.

As mentioned by Ravi, you will have to use an Equipment PRT (Category - P) and define a Maintenance Plan & Measuring point for the PRT under PRT data tab in the Equipment master and only use this PRT for the Operation on the order.

How can you please brief on point 2 & 3 with example?

Boiler has been defined as Equipment. It got some breakdown which causes low in temperature.

So while creating Breakdown Notification, reporting person will create Measurement document for that temperature (which has been created as Measuring Point for the equipment Boiler)

Once it got rectified, maintenance technician will create another measurement document for the temperature while doing Actual time confirmation.
