Inspection lot already created from previous document

Hi,

User tries to post MIGO 01 for material with QM activated.

For earlier PO, inspection lots are created at MIGO.

For another PO, the inspection lot is not created. The materials goes to unrestricted and the status GR doc has the value 6-Insp. lot already created from previous document.

What could be the error?

Try activating inspection type 01 in material master.

Hi,

Inspection type 01 is already activated. While doing MIGO the Stock type is Quality Inspection only. But after posting the MIGO doc. the stock type becomes Unrestricted stock and if we see the display Status GR Doc. is 6 "Insp. lot already created from previous doc".

Hi Neelima,

Pls. check if -

1.All inspection types are activated in material master QM view.

2.In QM view , check "Post to Inspection stock " setting , if not pls. activate.

Dear Milind,

The above said settings are already done and the link u reffered is also not answered. In the end Saurav says that he had solved the issue but he had not disclosed how.

Check you Inspection type settings.

There is an option in inspection type to specify under which conditions a new inspection lot is created. The options are (roughly, as far as i remmeber without checking):

1. Every new batch

2. Onec per material/vendor

3. Every material document item.

Set this field to 'for every material document item'.

This means every GR item for that material will create a inspection lot, even if an open inspection lot is created ( even for the same batch )

Issue is solved and u are right. In was the setting of Every Material Doc. item.
