Activating Software Component Version

Hi,

I have imported a Software Component Version into IR, Then it appears under

Object List tab. When i went to 'Change list' tab to activate it, there are to categories : 1. Open & 2.Close. My SWCV appears under 'Closed' section.

I have tried to activate it by right clicking on it, But I couldn't see the option to activate it. Could you please help me how to activate this SWCV..

Hi Sreenivas,

Once you have imported any S/W Component Version into IR and made any changes in any of the object of that s/w component then it will come under Open in Change list and you can activate it. Whenever any s/w component is under Close section of Change list, it means it has been already activated.

If there is any other addition or modification under that s/w component version it will again come under Open section of change list and to take the changes affect it has to be activated.

Hi Sreenivas,

objects which are imported to IB Repository, will be active there. Only, if you you them, for example to add a namespace, you have to activate the change list.
