Afaria 7 - Schedule Policy application automatically at different timings

Hi all,

Using Afaria 7, is it possible to schedule the deployment of policies automatically based on preset timings:

Example:

1. Policy A restricts the use of the camera app.

2. Policy B allows the use of the camera app.

I would like to enforce Policy A during working hours (9am to 5pm). The Policy B should be applied at 5:01pm until 8:59am the next day.

Any idea how to achieve the above using Afaria 7?

Only with the schedule set on the server.

If this is for Android you may do better using an on device profile manager like "easy profiles" or "tasker".

You may be able to manipulate the configuration of those apps through Afaria. The risk with doing it through Afaria would be connectivity. Every device would have to connect 2x per day to change the policy and be in range to do so.

I guess there's no standard functionality in Afaria where we can set how often the device would need to connect back to Afaria then. Am I right?
