Error "The master data cannot be changed" in SPL

Hello Experts,

Please help with this error in GTS 7.2. When releasing an SPL blocked document (in T.code /SAPSLL/SPL_BLRL), I receive the following error:

There is no further information in the error and I can't decipher what its trying to say. Please help.

The master data cannot be changed

Message no. /SAPSLL/CON_SPL_CHK053

Hi Satish,

Take a look at SAP Note 983704.  That Note introduced the error message, but had quite a different Short Text "Document couldn't be released due to blocked partners".

That older description sounds more relevant, and fits in with what the code is doing when you try to release a document.
