Hi All,

I am facing issue in data loading from R/3 to BW system.

We are scheduling the job in BW system by RSA1 tcode. The job is not triggering in R/3 system.

This gives me error as some transactional RFC error, Please check the Dumps as well for more information.

Let me know for any queries.

Regards,

Hemalatha G

Hello Hemalatha,

Did you check the source system connection via rsa1? did you maintain the partner profile and port number in we20 and we21? please check table rsbasidoc for the source system. in this table the entry must be active and also in we20 the partner profile must be in active status.

Thanks,
Ranjith

Hello

The problem is with the call to the Source System from the BW system.

I suggest you to get the RFC connection fixed first.

Maintain the host-name (FQDN) and the IP address of the Source System in the BW server hosts file.

Check whether you can get a successful ping from the BW machine.

If the host-name (also FQDN) in the RFC is not working then check whether the RFC is successful with the IP address in the Target Host field under Technical Settings.

Lastly make sure the User maintained in the RFC has proper authorizations.

Good Luck

Cheers

Hi Avadhesh,

You need to check the hosts file entry , if it is not there

<IP>  dcntsvr3<xxx.com>   dcntsvr3

Unable to determine host address: NiHostToAddr failed

Well, can you reach the host "dcntsvr3", is it registered on the hosts file?

Hi,

Can you  check via TCODE SMMS   > what is the value for the rdisp/mshost (MS server name)?

SAP Note 18679 suggests that error messages like "Unable to determine host address: NiHostToAddr failed..." are caused due to local names are too long.

Sachin

Hello

Have you checked the TRFC logs as suggested in the error ?

Use Tx SM58 and check the logs.
