Dear Team,
For ce 7.31 sp05 we are getting master data from non sap system via HTTPURL connection java code.
We are getting request time out when we get the data back.
Below is the code that we are using for getting the data.
java.util.Date date= new java.util.Date();
wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportSuccess(""+new Timestamp(date.getTime()));
wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportSuccess("beforecall");
String URLQueryString = "";
int respCode = 0;
URLQueryString = MYURL;
date= new java.util.Date();
wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportSuccess("1"+new Timestamp(date.getTime()));
URL url = new URL(URLQueryString);
wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportSuccess("2"+new Timestamp(date.getTime()));
HttpURLConnection conn = (HttpURLConnection) url.openConnection();
date= new java.util.Date();
wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportSuccess("3"+new Timestamp(date.getTime()));
conn.setRequestProperty("User-Agent", "");
date= new java.util.Date();
wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportSuccess("4"+new Timestamp(date.getTime()));
respCode = 0;
date= new java.util.Date();
wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportSuccess("5"+new Timestamp(date.getTime()));
respCode=conn.getResponseCode();// slow at this point
date= new java.util.Date();
wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportSuccess("6"+new Timestamp(date.getTime()));
We see that it take longer time to get the response back.
When url is excecuted directly in the browser we a getting a quick response. But is the timing out when it is executed via ce server using the code.
What parameters can be checked so that we can fine tune to get the response back in a quick way.

Shamila S Biju
