JRE Version for PI 7.0 and PI 7.31

Hi,

We have both PI 7.0 and PI 7.31 running and have some issues with JRE version when it comes to launching IR/ESR and ID.

Wanted to see if there is correct version of JRE that is compatible with both 7.0 and 7.31.

Hello,

Check note #1614742 Using Java Web Start with different PI releases for more details.

You may need to open the 1.4 Java Web Start console to enable/disable this. If you enable/disable via the 1.6/1.7 console it does not always work.

Hi,

you should use two and switch between - the latest one (for 7.31) is not the one recommended for 7.0 (1.4.x)

Thanks Michal.

I tried to have two JRE versions and attempted to switch via Java Web Start but I was not able to do so.  For some reason, it always uses the latest version when launching IR/ESR and ID even if you have two JRE versions.

Do you have any other way to switch between two JRE versions?
