Can we include different OS in landscape ?

Hi Experts,

We are having a sandbox system with WIN2003 operating system and  MAXDB Database i want to add sandbox in STMS, but our 3 system landscape is having different os i.e, IBM AIX and database is same . my question is can we add different OS in STMS and is the transports are sent frm dev to sandbox ?
