User exit for QM info record

Hello,

                                    I need to create an user exit in BS02, for the sequence of inspection types for a material and to be assigned in the Quality Info record as follows

When a material is procured first time from a vendor, inspection lot should get created with below inspection types

Inspection stage 1- 0101- Goods Receipt Inspection, Model

Inspection stage 2 -0102- Goods Receipt Inspection, Preliminary

Inspection stage 3-     01- Goods Receipt Inspection for Order

I have created an user exit as follows

Status number / status / Short text / Initial / Lowest status no / Highest status no

1                         0001         Model          X                     1                         2

2                         0002         Preliminary                          2                        3

3                         0003         01                                        3                        4

and i have assigned the Object type as Quality Info record

and assigned in QI01, after creating GR, inspection lot is getting created with inspection type 01, instead of 0101

Kindly help me, where should i check

Very confusing...You should have wrote more details about which exit you ave used & what was logic.

Nevertheless,if system is creating Inspection lot of 01 instead of 0101 means,

1.Quality info record is not coming into picture at all .In this case check QM in procurement.

or

2.There is issue of prefereed Inspection type in QM view

or

3.Quality Info record itself is not correct or status is not assigned to QI record.

In short you have to seach how system will know that you have received this material M1 from vendor V1 first time.

Sir,

                        Thanks for your immediate reply. My requirement is,  whenver i am procuring a material for the first time from a vendor , the inspection lots for the material should get created with the following inspection types

1. 0101- Goods Receipt Inspection, Model- Prototype

2. 0102- Goods Receipt Inspection, Preliminary- Pilot

3.     01- Goods Receipt Inspection for Order

I have assigned the QM procurement key, Certificate type in the material master and i have assigned the created status profile in QM ifo record. After GR, if i check the inspection type of the inspection lot it is getting created with "01" instead of "0101"

Now for this requirement, Kindly guide me which "Status" i have to use for the inspection type. Am i doing correctly?

Well ,I understood your requirement but ,I am still not clear about which exit you are talking about.

Issue here is approach you are following is correct ,but does quality info record & "status managment" of quality info record" is coming into picture when new IL for new vendor is created.Check the customization of "supply relationship status in SPRO
