What happens to old data if i change the cost center center group in cost center master data.

Dear Naresh,

The Data is replaced and only new data is stored in master data. The same will be available in Master data table.

But you can find the old data in the change documents.

You can see that Environment -> change documents.

Tables: CDHDR and CDPOS.

My concern about transaction data which is already posted to the cost center and also what happens if i run the KSB1 report with cost center group wise.

Dear Naresh,

It doesn't impact.

After you changed to new Cost center group, run KSB1 with:

- New cost center group, the data of this cost center will be picked up.

- Old cost center group, you don't see the data of this cost center.

Hello Naresh,

Here, the real data carrier is Cost center and not the Cost center group. I can understand your query. But there won't be any impact to your KSB1 report hence the new group shows the added cost center and old one not.
