Dear All,
I am doing system copy of SAP ECC6 from hp unix to Windows 2003.
Oracle Database is 11g.
I have read the documents and not down steps. Below steps are ok.
1. Shutdown Source System. Only database is up.
2. Take export of source system using SAPinst
3. Start installation of SAP on target machine using source system's EXPORT.
Thanks,
Hi,
It seems that you will perform OS/DB migration process. So, do you have a migration key?
This process must be done with the certified migration consultant

Thanks Orkun Gedik and Vimal.
I have taken export of source system sucessfully
Now I have start procedure on Target Machine.
We have database version Oracle 11.2.0.3.
I have installed Oracle on Target host i.e. windows 2003 64bit.
Copy EXP folder from source to Target host.
Start sapinst --> select system copy import option
After some process -- sapinst ask for database parameter.
Here SAPInst shows DB Server Vesion "102" and DB Home "D:\oracle\DEV\11203"
Actully we have oracle 11g. How SAPInst takes "102" version. I have attached screenshot also.
So I am not able to move forward now.
Hi,
I have faced this issue before. Here you have two options.
1. You are using a very old version of SAPINST which is compatible for oracle 102 only.. You can search for the latest SAPINST which is compatible with Oracle 112 and use it .. If you are not sure, please raise a message to SAP OSS and they will give you the DVD number for this.
2. Send me the controlf file keydb.xml file and sapinst_dev.log file... I will modify it accordingly and give you the file.. You can send the file to mjvimalan@gmail.com
Thanks and Regards

Dear Vimal.
Thanks a lot. You are right we are using old version of SAPInst.
I have raise message to SAP OSS. They have suggested software provisioning manager 1.0.
I have downloaded it and start export again as SAP suggested export and import advisable to done with same tool.
I have one confusion. On my target system I have only Oracle software is installed. No SAP instance is there. Show I go directly with System Copy - Target System - Import option OR I need to install SAP intance ?
Thanks
