Hi
We are upgrading our Solution Manager kernel from 64 bit Unicode 720 #122 to #402 using SAPEXE_402-20005270.SAR & SAPEXEDB_402-20005269.SAR
We get the error message below when we run APYSIDKRN SID(SM1) ARCHIVES('/usr/sap/patch/*')
APYSAP: Patch sapcpe is part of a bundle but is missing among the archives
to be applied. Repeat this command including patch sapcpe with patch
level 6 or higher. For the reason of the bundle refer to SAP note
1573427 to see more details.
So even when we add sapcpe_410-20005270.sar to /usr/sap/patch we get the same error. Its like APYSIDKRN ignore the sapcpe patch.
Anyone else seen this issue?
Thanks
Annoying thing is that I can see this in the joblog
Checking patch SNMPLIB_410.SAR:trapsend_cfg -version
Checking patch sapcpe_410.sar:sapcpe version
Checking patch tp_410.sar:tp -V
sapcpe 410 is seen by APYSIDKRN

Thanks Thomas
Note # 1734872 looks like a great fix. However the link to the later version of apysidkrn seems to be expired. Even if we make it one long string with no gaps...

Any idea where there is a later APYSIDKRN ?
Thanks
Matthew
Hi Matthew,
Sorry, I missed to read the note completely. What you need to do to get a proper version of APYSIDKRN should be described in note 1177123. You already have a proper version of ILE.SAR as you mentioned in your note above. Create an ILE library SAP_TOOLS from it and then use APYSIDKRN from this.
Hope this has become more consistent now... Will take care of a proper description in the notes.
Regards,
Thomas
