APO live cache.....

Good Morning SAP Gurus,

I Have a doubt related to live cache,

Q. How the data transfer from live cache to planning book. (ex: In BW/BI there is SID concept one particular Info-object will generate one SID and connected to DIMID) in APO what is the relationship between live cache to planning book?

Please help me.

Hi Balagurappa,

When a PA is (key-figures are) initialized, it means we are creating time-series for the characteristic combinations. Some tables are created in LiveCache where time-series get associated with all the characteristic combinations.

If PA not initialized, all will be there stored independently without giving any meaning, and hence data of this type cannot be fetched in the planning books as planning books are the interfaces where you see the backend storage of LiveCache data in a meaningful way.

There are live cache anchors acting as pointers between CVC and the time-series data (KF data split among different time-buckets). There is one LiveCache anchor per planning area, characteristics combination (planning object) and model.

Planning Area / CVC / Model = One LC Anchor
