Value dated credit memo

Can any one pls explain about value dated credit memo,i have googled but could not understand the concept

Hello,

are you talking about the flag TVFK-XVLAGS in transaction VOFA ?

If this flag is set, when the credit memo is released to FI, its FI document will have fields BSEG-REBZG, BSEG-REBZJ, BSEG-REBZZ copied from the FI document of the original billing document.

Please check the SAP KBA 1669117 too.
