hi everyone,
We are using one web dispatcher for load balancing for each system. Looks SAP came out with configuration for one web-dispatcher for multiple SAP systems. Wondering , if any one have implemented such configuration. would appreciate, if you could clarify about:
-Do we have to have separate virtual host for installing web-dispatcher.?
-We are using /usr/sap/SID/sapwebdispatcher dir for holding executables..can it be combined with kernel dir?
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
According to sap help documentation http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73ehp1/helpdata/en/48/99ac3a7f020e27e10000000a421937/content.htm
you have quite valid configuration for webdispatcher.
We have the same configuration.
What do you mean combined with kernel dir? The SAP Web dispatcher can run in any directory.

Yes there are active implementations out there. I myself have implemented a few. See the attached link for one implementation.
Yes, I have implemented this concept at several customers. It works like a charm!
In this wiki you can also find some additional data on the setup: http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/Basis/Implement+one+webdispatcher+for+multiple+systems
Kind regards,
Mark
