TLB Profile- Cross loading problem

Former Member

Need to define TLB profile where in Cross loading is allowed, These are on same transportation lane. Issue is SKU A and SKU C and other SKUs are having different sizes.

Due to which while loading it consumes uneven space on pallets and which ultimately causing less loading.

Depending upon this can you please suggest me how should i creat TLB profile for this

SKUCase Size UOMQty per Palletno of pallets(20") Carrierno of Pallets (40") Carrier 20" Max Units

Hi,

Standard SNP does not have interfaces like SNC to build a complex TLB profile to meet your requirements. Pl check the following link to build the one using SNC interfaces.

Thanks Rajesh for reply.

Presently I am checking with my system compatibility with SNC interface, although not sure about SNC/ICH.

If also i have created with SNC can i use it in TLB in SNP ?

TLB is used by SNP and SNC in the same way. However, SNC has enhanced TLB to include more parameters.

Hi Rajesh,

Can you please help me how to create TLB profile with SNC as i am unaware with SNC.

Thanks

hi,

Not sure about ICH /SNC, But in current situation can we do like this: (SKUA)

1. In product master defind conversion 1 PAL = 300 TH

2. In product master UoM conv : 1 SET = 6600 .. Considering 40 ft Container.

Now when we define TLB profile it will be : Relationship is 1 AND 2

1      Floorspots     10     >=     23     <=     PAL

2.     Floorspots     0       >=     01     <=     SET

Lets for example take qty of 10,000 TH

So as per TLB profile it will calculate PAL = 10000/300  ..   34 PAL

Second condition will be Max of 1 SET which = 6600 TH

So will it consider and create 1 STO with 6600 TH and Nother SKU with rest 3300 TH quantity.

Can you please correct me if i am missing or miscalculated.

Thanks in advance.

Based on the given rule and values, the TLB profile constrains the vehicle capacity with a max limit of 6600TH (minimum of condition 1 and 2). If you have a load of 10000 TH, then it creates 2 orders - STO1 with 6600 TH and STO2 with remaining 3400 TH. The influencing factors are the weight and floor spots.

The TLB Profile needs to be updated as

Rule Counter

Parameter

Parameter Desc.

Smallest Value

Sign

(low)

Largest Value

Sign (High)

Unit

1

Weight

Weight in TH /

in SET

0

0

>=

>=

6600

01

<=

<=

TH

SET

2

Floor Spot

Pallet Positions

10

>=

23

<=

PAL

Assuming your Base UoM is TH, the product master's UoM needs to maintained as follows

1 PAL = 300 TH

1 SET = 6600 TH

If you considering pallet stacking, maintain the staking factor in the product master settings. For instance, stacking factor 2 allows you to keep 2 pallets on 1 floor spot i.e. you can keep 2 pallets one above another (pallet positions in vertical direction).

Thanks,

Rajesh

Hi,

Unfortunately, in our system the webUI is not activated. However, the following link as all the required steps in detail. Pl check -

Hi Rajesh,

As per the TLB Profile:

For condition 1 WEIGHT  0      >=  6600     TH      Can not be hard coded in TLB profile as for each SKU this value gets changed.

For SKU A it is 6600 TH for Full load, where in for SKUB1 it is 7200TH for full load and futher it varies.

Yes UoM conversions are in place for all SKUs as you mentioned.

If i am not wrong in TLB calculation as per previous reply, Pallets are rounded and calculated but system unable to calculate as per SET with same given condition.

Thanks,

Hi Jayashri,

Since TLB works based on t.lane and considers all the products that can use the give t.lane. Typically, your vehicle capacity limits your option here. For instance, a generic truck is permitted to carry a load 8000 kg (just an example), then your weight rule limits the vehicle loading up to 8 tonnes.

In case of unlimited capacity, you need to use a common denominator that can be applied to most of the products.

Thanks,
Rajesh

Hi Rajesh,

At last manajed to solve this issue, as sameexplained earlier

This time my TLB profile os

Floor Spots     >=     10     <=     23   PAL        Which is max pallets per truck

Volume          >=     0          <=     1     SET          Which is max truck load value.

SET contains full load for truck per SKU it has different conversion in Product master.

Thank you very much for your inputs.

Take care
