Dear Gurus,

I am a SAP certified BW consultant. I have 4+ years of experience. I have worked in all BW areas(modelling, BEx queries) and BW related ABAP like ( Generic extraction based on FM, BADI, Expert routines etc etc). Now i am planning to learn BO tools like WEBI, Crystal reports and Dashboards. I have not yet had the taste of SAP HANA. I have few queries,

1. Shortly SAP BW will be replaced by SAP HANA, Am i right?

2. For SAP HANA, the reporting tools are going to be SAP BO tools like ( Crystal reports, WEBI, BO Explorer, Dashboards ).

3. Future is going to be SAP HANA relational database and BO tools ?

4. Will there be any ABAP work in sap HANA ?

Hi,

1. Shortly SAP BW will be replaced by SAP HANA, Am i right?

No.. BW will not be replaced. HANA supplements BW. Please check the following link for details;

2. For SAP HANA, the reporting tools are going to be SAP BO tools like ( Crystal reports, WEBI, BO Explorer, Dashboards ).

Again, not necessarily. HANA can be used with BO as well as third party tools using JDBC, ODBC, SQL interface. Although BO tools are the primary reporting tools, other reporting tools can also be used.

3. Future is going to be SAP HANA relational database and BO tools ?

"Future is going to be HANA" , even I believe so. But not just as a relational database with BO tools there are multiple use cases of HANA. I think a quick search on this forums for ABAP on HANA, Netweaver on HANA and so on... Please check all the different use cases on http://www.saphana.com/welcome

4. Will there be any ABAP work in sap HANA ?

Please check the following forum for the details on ABAP on HANA.

Well, one more thing. Please try to perform some searches on your own. Most of the questions you asked have been discussed on this forum multiple times. the search will provide you even more information that you might think of as of today.

Regards.
