hi Bharat,

please kill the all sapinst.exee and java.exe and try again.

if you installation still not start then check .

Hi Abdul,

That was a pretty prompt reply,

I restated and tired again, I already set the parameter JAVA_HOME to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin" and 10.10.0.10 tab 'hostname' was added to Host file.

But still the issue persists

let me know if any.

Thanks,

Bharat

Hi Bharat,

I think the user does not have the rigth previlegies. Try removing that local user and sapinst will recreate it next time you run it.

Hi Hugo,

The User has admin privileges, well sapinst has done its job, I am now trying to install sapinstgui that is SAP GUI and my problem raises now.

To Hugo/All,

I have not set any specific port pre installation, if the default ports are already in use SAPinst searches for free port numbers, how could I know those port numbers ? specifically for communication between SAPinst, GUI server, SAPinst GUI, and HTTP server,

Thanks in advance,

Bharat

hi Bharat,

Please execute below command and check the concern port.

cmd > netstat -ano

Find and rename the sap directory from C:\Documents and Settings\<Login user>\AppData\Local\SAP

and try again.

or

Simple way is that please download the sapinst from service market place and install.

Hi Guys,

Just a gist..

I download the whole software from SAP Service market place.

I have two application files

1. sapinst

2. sapinstgui

I used sapinst to install the central server with standard settings/parameters, all the 24 steps went in green and the sapinst installation was over perfectly.

I click on the sap management console, on the server, now the server is in green.

Now to log in i have to install sap gui, the start documents says to install sap gui I need to use sapinstgui application file.

when I click on this it throws the error.

I viewed many threads were it say the port might have changed due to prior use before installation and similar stuff, netstat gives me a huge list but I am unable to find a port close to 21212 ?

Thanks,

Bharat

.

please go in cmd and put the following command.

netstat -ano >>c:\netstat-ano.txt

please open the netstat-ano.txt file from C drive and you can find the 21212 from this file.
