PI adapter and Demandware

Hi Experts,

We are looking at a possible SAP integration with the SaaS e-commerce solution from Demandware.

Does anyone know of any Demandware specific third party PI adapters that may be leveraged for this integration?

Hi Dave,

No, we were NOT able to find a third party adapter for Demandware.

We are thinking of integrating via standard file adapter, as well as possibly using our Advantco REST adapter for the web services.

e-commerce integration is always challenging as it’s no secret that integration can be complicated and frustrating. At least my recent experience in integration of SAP with Cloud was something similar, though it looks quite simple and straight forward implementation.

Custom integration, however, is a rather complex matter and if not done correctly, can lead into serious problems. Rightly said by Raja, SOAP Adapter has been played great role to integrate web based applications with SAP since long time. REST can be another alternative, you can look into.

Sorry Peter, can we have your views on this please, bringing "Peter Ha" into discussion, I have recently encountered blog from him on integration with Salesforce.

Web service communication is right approach to integrate e commerce based applications. Use SOAP PI adpater.
