ADS - SM59 - 503 Service Unavailable - Adobe Document services

Hi All

We are getting below error while trying to connect ADS RFC connection. We checked all the required user mapping ,groups and authorisations.

Could any one advise us to identify the exact error.

503   Service Unavailable

SAP J2EE Engine 

Application cannot be started.

Details:   com.sap.engine.services.deploy.container.ExceptionInfo: Application com.adobe/AdobeDocumentServices cannot be started. Reason: it has hard reference to resource com.adobe~FontManagerService with type service, which is not active on the server.

When we try to start com.adobe~FontManagerService, it is not happening.

Check the configuration as per SAP note:

1143584  Service FontManagerService: Native files were not expanded

Hello Bharathi,

what errors are written in the default trace of J2EE engine when you try to start that service? In SAP Note 994351 you can find all the Java services that must be started for ADS to work correctly.
