How to add ABAP perspective for SAP HANA

Hi All,

We have SAP HANA studio Ver. 1.0.49. However, when select Open perspective we do not find any option to add ABAP perspective.

Is there any additional installation required for adding ABAP perspective ? After adding ABAP perspective will it provide an option to create OData ?

Hi Ashish,

HANA studio does not come with any ABAP environment or plug-in, so there is no ABAP perspective that you could switch to.

Not sure what you mean by "option to create OData", but the HANA development perspective, that enables you to write XS engine code, partly uses OData as data access protocol.

Hi Lars,

In that case how do we get the options in SAP HANA studio to create ABAP class .... (as per the below screenshot) :-

The screenshot is from a tutorial and I dont find these options in my HANA studio.

You need ABAP in Eclipse for that.
