How to set up a notification email before next inspection date for a batch using transaction MSC2N?

Hi Tarig ,

We have developed the similar z prog. to send emails when a particular type of physical sample gonna expire .

Please take elp of ABAPer and developed a report to send email with a excel sheet as attachment . And as Mahesh said correctly , create a background job for this z development which will trigger emails

To trigger some email notification, there should be some action behind that.

In this case, I feel there is no specific transaction to trigger the mail.

Lets wait for other inputs.

Hi, I intend to set up the email notification one week before the re-inspection date, so I can initiate the sampling/testing beforehand to avoid any delay in production due to raw materials hold.

I understand the reason behind the email setup requirement. But it should have some triggering point in SAP by which email can be triggered. Not possible just by creating batch in MSC1N.

Else create one Z transaction which will run in background on daily basis which can trigger the mail as per your requirement.
