Hello SAPGurus,
I am trying to upgrade the kernel of the SOLMAN7.0 system from 700 to 701. I have already uncarred the SAPEXE and SAPEXEDB files from OSS portal. I placed the new kernel directory in the location /usr/sap/SID/sys/exe. After I try to restart the SAP system the process disp+work.exe is not starting following are the logs in the Developer trace

Please suggest.

Hi Abhishek,
Please try the following
please stop all the SAP & Oracle or DB related services...
Login as sidadm -> navigate to /usr/sap/SID/SYS/exe or /sapmnt/SID/exe folder
Execute
sapcpe pf=path of the start profile\startup profile
Or manually copy the files from /sapmnt/SID/exe to /usr/sap/SID/DV*/exe , /usr/sap/SID/SCS*/exe and try to start the SAP and check whether it resolves.
Mostly the issue seems to be non-sync of the exes only.
Please give a try and see whether it works.
Always have a backup before changing the exes.
Thanks and Regards,
Vimal

Hi
Can u check if SAP related or OSCOL related services are in running state or not.
Also please check the permissions of kernel directory.

Hi Abishek,
Looks like a memory issue.
Please try the following:
stopsap
cleanipc 00
startsap
see what happens.
Let me know the outcome
Regards,
David
